How much money are we paying for our digital lives?

More than half of U.S. adults now use their smartphones or tablets, with about one in four saying they are constantly using them, according to a survey from online advertising company comScore.

The survey, released Wednesday, found that about 47 percent of U,S.

consumers now use an app or device to access their online information.

More than a quarter of that group says they access the data through an app, and more than half say they access it from a web browser.

ComScore also said that more than 3.5 million Americans have used their smartphones for work, school or personal use in the past 12 months.

Among the most popular apps are Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook and Snapchat, the survey found.

Comscore said the app market is expected to grow nearly 2 percent this year.
